John Mayer é guitarrista, cantor e compositor americano considerado pela Rolling Stone como “The New Guitar God” (O Novo Deus da Guitarra). Com seu segundo CD, Heavier things, lançado em 2003, John Mayer superou Elvis Costello, Prince e Seal ao vencer o Grammy de Melhor Performance Masculina.

Em 2005 começou a tocar junto de verdadeiras lendas do rock (Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy e B.B. King). John Mayer é reconhecido como “um guitarrista completo”.
