Richard Price (1949, Nova York) é escritor e roteirista. The Wanderers (1974), seu primeiro romance, baseado na infância no Bronx, foi adaptado e dirigido por Philip Kaufman, de "A insustentável leveza do ser" (1988). Desde então, escreveu roteiros para filmes como O preço da coragem (1996) e a série televisiva A escuta (2004). Teve parceria bem-sucedida com o diretor Martin Scorsese em duas ocasiões: no longa "A cor do dinheiro" (1986) e no videoclipe "Bad" (1995), de Michael Jackson, dos quais assinou o roteiro. Um de seus romances mais conhecidos é Clockers (1992), que virou filme do diretor Spike Lee e foi indicado ao Oscar. Escreveu ainda o aclamado Lush Life (2008).
