Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie (1977, Abba, Nigéria) é nome de proa da literatura africana. Aos dezenove anos Adichie mudou-se para os Estados Unidos, onde foi bolsista na Universidade de Princeton. Purple Hibiscus (2003) e Half of a Yellow Sun (2006), pelo qual venceu o Orange Prize de 2007, têm como tema a guerra em Biafra, que entre 1967 e 1970 matou mais de 1 milhão de pessoas.
