Liudmila Petruchévskaia (Moscou, 1938) é um dos grandes nomes da literatura russa moderna, conhecida por suas histórias de absurdo, fantasia e horror. Foi considerada inimiga do povo pelo regime stalinista e teve sua obra censurada até a redemocratização. Em 2002, recebeu o mais prestigioso prêmio da Rússia, o Triumph, pelo conjunto de sua obra. Seu primeiro livro publicado no Brasil é Era uma vez uma mulher que tentou matar o bebê da vizinha: histórias e contos de fadas assustadores (2018).
