From deep in the wilds of the New World, Antonio writes a letter to his aunt, the prioress of the same Basque convent he escaped as a young girl. GABRIELA CABEZON CAMARA

Gabriela Cabezón Cámara nasceu em Buenos Aires, em 1968. É escritora, jornalista cultural e professora de escrita criativa. Sua obra de estreia, Nossa Senhora do Barraco (Moinhos, 2023), foi pré-selecionada para o Prêmio Memorial SilverioCañada, além de ter sido escolhido o livro do ano da Rolling Stone Argentina.Ajudou a fundar, em 2015, o Ni Una Menos, movimento contra o feminicídio e a violência de gênero, e hoje, dentre outras militâncias, faz resistência ao que se chama de “capitaloceno”, em defesa pela vida de todos os seres. As aventuras da China Iron (Moinhos, 2021), publicado originalmente em 2017 na Argentina, teve a tradução para o inglês dentre os finalistas do International Booker Prize de 2020, enquanto a tradução para o francês também foi finalista do Prix Medicis no ano seguinte. A obra de Gabriela já foi traduzida para onze idiomas, e Lasniñas del Naranjel (2023), seu romance mais recente, ganhou o Prêmio Ciutat de Barcelona.
