Simon Sebag Montefiore (Londres,1965) é um escritor e jornalista publicado em 48 línguas e especializado em história da Rússia. É autor de Stálin: a corte do czar vermelho (2006); O jovem Stálin (2008); Os Románov (2016); e Catarina, a Grande & Potemkin (2018). Seus livros receberam prêmios como o de livro de história do ano concedido pelo British Book Awards e o Costa Biography Award, ambos no Reino Unido, e o Grand Prix de la Biographie Politique, na França. É coautor da série de livros infantis Royal Rabbits of London. Algumas de suas obras estão sendo adaptadas para a TV e o cinema. Fez doutorado em Cambrige e é membro da Royal Society of Literature.
