Depois de viver nas ruas, ser pintor e virar jornalista, Grégoire Bouillier (1960, Tizi-Ouzou, Argélia) decidiu contar a história de sua vida errante em Rapport sur moi (2002), com o qual venceu o Prix de Flore. Em seguida escreveu o cultuado L’invité mystère (2004), que será lançado no Brasil este ano, balanço de sua experiência como parte de um projeto da artista conceitual francesa Sophie Calle – com quem divide a mesa na FLIP. Neste trabalho, aceita a proposta de uma ex-namorada para ser o convidado misterioso em uma festa na casa da artista. O livro foi traduzido para inglês, italiano, alemão e espanhol. Bouillier publicou seu primeiro romance em 2008, Cap Canaveral, sobre um encontro entre um escritor maduro e uma jovem admiradora.
