JULIO CORTAZAR

Julio Cortázar nasceu em Bruxelas, em 1914, mas foi educado na Argentina — país de origem de seus pais. Estudou Letras, trabalhou durante algum tempo como professor em áreas rurais até que, em 1951, fixou residência definitiva em Paris, onde desenvolveu brilhante carreira literária, iniciada com a publicação de Los reyes. Entre suas principais obras destacam-se Bestiário, Octaedro e 62 Modelo para armar. Julio Cortázar morreu em Paris, em 1984.
