MILAN KUNDERA

Milan Kundera nasceu em Brno, na República Tcheca, em 1929, e emigrou para a França em 1975, onde hoje vive como cidadão francês. A maioria dos seus livros foi escrita em tcheco, mas o autor retrabalhou-os inteiramente na tradução francesa. Por sua recomendação, a tradução para o português toma como base os originais franceses. Seu livro A Insustentável Leveza do Ser recebeu o Prêmio Los Angeles Times Book Prize 1984, na categoria Ficção.
