KALAF EPALANGA

Kalaf Epalanga (Benguela — Angola, 1978) é músico e escritor. Ficou conhecido à frente da banda Buraka Som Sistema (em hiato desde 2016). Hoje, vive entre Lisboa e Berlim, e se define como “agitador cultural”. Foi cofundador do selo musical Enchufada, cronista do jornal português Público e da GQ Portugal, bem como do jornal angolano independente Rede Angola. Reuniu suas crônicas em duas coletâneas: Estórias para meninos de cor (2011) e O angolano que comprou Lisboa (por metade do preço) (2014). Também os brancos sabem dançar (2018) narra sua trajetória musical, a história do kuduro e da kizomba, e faz um retrato de Benguela e da Lisboa que o recebeu.
