ISABEL ALLENDE

Isabel Allende nasceu em 1942, no Peru, onde seu pai era diplomata. Viveu no Chile entre 1945 e 1975, com longos períodos de residência em outros lugares, na Venezuela até 1988 e, a partir de então, na Califórnia. Começou a carreira literária como jornalista no Chile e na Venezuela. Em 1982, seu primeiro romance, A casa dos espíritos, tornou-se um dos títulos míticos da literatura latino-americana. A ele se seguiram muitos outros, todos com grande sucesso internacional. Seus livros já foram traduzidos para 35 idiomas.
