JOHN UPDIKE

John Updike nasceu em 1932, na Pensilvânia. Formou-se em Harvard em 1954 e, em seguida, passou um ano estudando belas-artes na Inglaterra. De 1955 a 1957 fez parte da equipe da revista New Yorker, para a qual até hoje contribui com poemas, contos, ensaios e resenhas. Autor de ensaios literários, poesia e ficção, já recebeu inúmeros prêmios, entre eles o Pulitzer e o National Book Award.
