André Aciman (Alexandria – Egito, 1951) pertence a uma família de judeus expatriados que buscou o exílio na Itália e, depois, nos EUA. Doutorou-se em literatura comparada por Harvard, lecionou em Princeton e hoje é professor no The Graduate Center de Nova York, tendo Marcel Proust como um dos seus principais objetos de pesquisa. Publica não ficção, como o memorialístico Out of Egypt (1994), e ficção, como Me chame pelo seu nome (2018) – este adaptado para o cinema pelo diretor italiano Luca Guadagnino, aclamado nos festivais de Berlim, Toronto, do Rio, no Sundance e ganhador do Oscar de melhor roteiro adaptado em 2018.
