WISLAWA SZYMBORSKA

Wislawa Szymborska nasceu em 1923 em Bnin, na Polônia. Em 1931 mudou-se com a família para Cracóvia. Estudou literatura e sociologia na universidade de Cracóvia. A partir de 1953 e por quase trinta anos trabalhou na revista literária Zycie Literackie. Recebeu o prêmio Nobel de literatura em 1996. Ao longo da vida, publicou doze pequenas coletâneas de poemas. Morreu em fevereiro de 2012.
