Philip Waechter, autor e ilustrador alemão, nasceu em 1968. Formado em design de comunicação com ênfase em ilustração pela faculdade de Mainz, publicou seu primeiro livro em 1995. Atualmente, Philip trabalha como ilustrador independente e faz parte do ateliê comunitário LABOR em Frankfurt am Main, onde mora com a família.
