David Wallace-Wells (Estados Unidos, 1982) é jornalista e trabalha como editor-adjunto da New York Magazine desde 2011, ano em que ingressou como editor literário. Em 2017, publicou matéria de grande repercussão — foram mais de seis milhões de acessos —, em que discutiu os possíveis direcionamentos do aquecimento global. A partir da reportagem, o jornalista lança este ano seu primeiro livro, A terra inabitável. Antes de se dedicar às pesquisas ambientais, Wallace-Wells foi também editor-adjunto da revista de cultura Paris Review. Atualmente, faz parte de uma organização think tank não partidária, a New America, responsável por trabalhar questões como tecnologia, segurança nacional, saúde, gênero, educação e economia.
