Sandro Veronesi é um escritor italiano nascido em Florença, em 1959. Considerado um dos mais importantes romancistas italianos das últimas décadas, já publicou mais de vinte obras, entre romances, contos, poemas e peças jornalísticas. Ganhou o Prêmio Strega em 2006 com o romance Caos calmo (Rocco, 2007) – traduzido em vinte países e vencedor também dos prêmios Fémina e Méditerranée – e em 2020 com O colibri (Autêntica, 2024). No Brasil, também já teve publicados seus romances A força do passado (Rocco, 2003), vencedor dos prêmios Campiello e Viareggio, e XY (Rocco, 2011).
