Há mais futuro que passado - um documentário de ficção



Qual é o lugar da mulher latino-americana na história da arte? Essa é a pergunta que impulsionou a criação de Há mais futuro que passado – um documentário de ficção. Com direção de Daniele Avila Small e dramaturgia da diretora com Clarisse Zarvos e Mariana Barcelos, a peça foi realizada por uma equipe liderada por mulheres em todas as funções criativas e técnicas. O espetáculo joga luz sobre a vida e a obra de importantes artistas latino-americanas, fazendo uma crítica à história oficial, ao poder que as narrativas hegemônicas exercem sobre a visão que temos do mundo e sobre os lugares que nele ocupamos. Do ponto-de-vista formal, a peça opta pelo formato de uma peça-palestra. Tal opção estética – que estabelece uma tensão entre a linguagem artística e a linguagem da conferência – tem como intuito promover um envolvimento afetivo, social e intelectual entre o espectador, as pesquisadoras e o objeto de reflexão crítica.

What is the place of the Latin-American woman in the History of Art? This is the question that sparked the creation of There’s More Future Than Past – A Docufiction Play. Directed by Daniele Avila Small and written by the director, Clarisse Zarvos and Mariana Barcelos, the play was brought into existence by a team led by women in all the creative and technical positions. The play sheds light on the life and work of important Latin-American female artists, criticizing the official history, the power that hegemonic narratives exert over our worldview and the places we occupy in the world. Formally, the performance chooses the format of a lecture-performance. By establishing a tension between the artistic language and the conference format, this aesthetic choice aims at promoting an emotional, social and intellectual involvement between the viewer, the researchers and the object of critical reflection.
